"Pope Innocent XI decreed in DZ 1151, probable opinions about the validity of the Sacraments cannot be used to confer OR RECEIVE them. And it is the unanimous opinion of theologians, cited as infallible by Pope Pius IX (DZ 1792) that probable opinions CANNOT be used to receive the Sacraments."

Violation of Innocent XI’s proposition is listed by the Church under EXCOMMUNICATIONS deserving of censure.
