Pictured is the gold & jeweled crown worn by Catholic monarch, Margaret of York, during her marriage *celebrations. It was made around the year 1461. Margaret’s crown is one of only two surviving English medieval crowns. It has been housed in the treasury of the Aachen Cathedral, in Germany, for centuries.

*The bride made her Joyous Entry in a golden carriage drawn by white horses, wearing upon her head this golden crown. Also, when the Duke and Duchess of Burgundy appeared in Burgundy together for the first time, both wore magnificent crowns.
